Oracle Cards vs. Tarot: Which Reading Is Right for You?

One of the questions I receive most often is this: should I book an oracle reading or a tarot reading? And my honest answer is always — it depends on what your soul is asking for right now.

Tarot is a structured system. Seventy-eight cards, four suits, a Major and Minor Arcana, centuries of symbolism layered into every image. A tarot reading follows a kind of sacred grammar — there are rules, archetypes, and a framework that has been refined over hundreds of years. If you want precision, if you want to understand the mechanics of a situation, if you want to see the energies at play from multiple angles, tarot is extraordinary.

Oracle cards are something different. There is no fixed structure — each deck is its own universe, created by an artist and intuitive with a specific energy and intention. Oracle readings are more fluid, more poetic, more open to the reader's channeled guidance. They speak in feeling-tones rather than frameworks.
